What are laser treatments?

Laser treatments are one of the many services offered at Flourish Wellness Center. The multi-faceted practice uses a variety of lasers to address a wide range of issues.

The types of laser treatments that are available include:

Intense-Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy

IPL therapy uses rapid pulses of light that target various pigments in your skin. The intense light destroys the pigmented cells to help you get the desired look. 

Erbium Laser

The erbium laser is a skin-resurfacing tool. Flourish Wellness Center uses the erbium laser on the face, neck, hands, and chest.

Fractional Laser

The fractional laser delivers microscopic beams of light energy to small fractions of your skin. It creates columns of untreated skin in between columns of treated skin, which produces results with fewer side effects and a shorter recovery time.

Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a nonablative (doesn’t affect the surface of your skin) vascular laser treatment. 

What are some of the uses of laser treatments?

Flourish Wellness Center uses laser treatments to address many aesthetic concerns. Some of the uses include:

• Facial rejuvenation
• Hair reduction (laser hair removal)
• Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
• Treating brown spots and hyperpigmentation
• Tattoo removal
• Improving the appearance of acne scars

The practice also offers laser treatments for skin conditions such as rosacea, which causes facial redness and visible blood vessels along the nose and cheeks. 

What can I expect during a laser treatment?

Your provider develops individualized laser treatment plans that are specific to your needs. At your consultation, they review what you can expect during your treatment. 

Before starting your laser treatment, your provider may first apply a numbing agent to your skin to minimize discomfort. The length of your treatment varies and depends on the type of laser, size of the area undergoing treatment, and the beauty concern.

After your laser treatment, the team provides guidelines on how to protect your sensitive skin, such as keeping the treated area covered and avoiding sun exposure for a set period of time.

Because most of the laser treatments at Flourish Wellness Center are gentle, you may need more than one session to get the desired results. Your provider reviews the number of treatments you need in advance.
